RMB Transfer / Local Remittance Service
- RMB account holders must be individual customers aged 18 years or above
- deposit RMB exchanged from Hong Kong Dollars or in RMB banknotes
- Interest of RMB Savings Account will be calculated on the daily closing balance and paid monthly. The day basis for the interest calculation is 360 days per year.
- For banknotes deposit, only RMB banknotes in denominations of RMB10, 20, 50 and 100 of Series 4 & Series 5 are accepted. RMB coins and other denominations are not acceptable.
- Overdraft, cashier order and lending services are not available
- Only applicable to individual customers aged 18 years or above
- Each customer is only allowed to open one RMB Current Account at Dah Sing Bank
- Interest of the RMB Current Account will be calculated on the daily closing balance and will be paid monthly. The day basis for interest calculation is 360 days per year.
- Daily aggregate payment amount for cheque issuance from RMB Current Account, to settle consumer spending payment in Guangdong Province (including Shenzhen) for Personal Customer who is a Hong Kong Resident, must not exceed RMB 80,000.
- Overdraft is not allowed for RMB Current Account
- Cheques are non-transferrable

- RMB & HKD two-way exchange services are available

- Provide outward remittance of RMB funds to Mainland China accounts
- Remitters must be RMB deposit account-holders
- Remitter and beneficiary should be in the same name
- Maximum amount per Personal Customer who is a Hong Kong Resident per day is RMB 80,000. If the aggregate remittance amount exceeds such limit, the remittance instruction will be rejected and the reject payment will be returned in full amount. The above outward remittance limit is not applicable to the Personal Customer who is a non-Hong Kong Resident (i.e. an individual who is not a holder of Hong Kong Identity Card). Outward remittance service to the Mainland China or other places outside Hong Kong are subject to the rules and regulation requirements of Mainland China or the relevant jurisdiction. Outward remittance may be rejected due to local rules and regulatory requirements and subject to charges applicable to returned remittance.
- When applying for the outward remittance, customers need to provide the standard Chinese code of their Chinese names.
